How to Avoid the Google Sandbox If There is One
By Kenza V Long

Oh nooo! the Google sandbox. Well what is this so called Google sandbox? I will attempt to answer that question. Google does not seem to like new websites or new domain names so they put them into their sandbox meaning that they do not index them or pay them any attention. It can sometimes take over a month for Google to index your site or for you to show up in a Google search. Once, it took 6 weeks before I saw my new site show up in an organic search. My website showed up on page 48, I think.

There are ways to avoid being put into the sandbox and they are quite easy. The first thing you can do is buy an aged domain. What this mean is that there are domains names out there that the owners don't want to renew, so you can buy them. I bought a aged domain called Xerowire that was six years old. The site was index and was already showing up in the Google searches. So I just pointed the domain name to my new website hence avoiding the sandbox.

Another way is just to use or have a blog like WordPress and use a sub domain like hellothere.wordpress etc. Google loves blog sites and indexes them frequently. If you cannot find a old domain name then an alternative strategy would be for you to have a blog and then promote your new website on that blog until your new site gets indexed. That way new content on your blog will be indexed and you can start getting traffic from the organic searches. Then when your site gets indexed, stop updating your blog and start updating your website.

Most internet marketers are always trying to keep their websites Google friendly by using SEO and jumping thought hoops. But the thing is that only 6% of all website traffic actually comes from Google, but they will have you to believe that all the traffic comes thought them.

What does this all mean? It means that you don't have to play according to the rules that Google have laid out, you just need to think outside of the box. If Google only generates 6% of all the internet traffic where is the other 94%? to tap into the the 94% you just have to think outside the box. For example you can get you traffic directly from forums and web 2.0 websites and that is just the start. There are literally 100's of ways to get traffic to your website without showing up in Google's organic search.

Webmasters and Internet Marketers Can Learn From the Art of War

The Art of War is unquestionably a well known, highly lifestyle, and overwhelmingly revealing text on military affairs. Yep... military affairs. So I imagine you are thinking what the heck I'm doing sharing anything designed to support generals and warriors wage warfare while combating their enemies. Reality inside matter is, as a webmaster or internet marketer - we too are generally linked to being a commander in a war fought on multiple fronts. The war in opposition to our competition generally stretches through several borders into the depths of the online world and can often be relentless. From Google rankings, to marketplace popularity, to product superiority/differentiation we're frequently and often unknowingly at war.

Getting straight into it, the root wonder is how can this book be applied to our online endeavors? I'm planning to pick it apart, and try to turn its military message into something we could depend on and comfortably employ. Here we go..

1. Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected.

This is now one amongst my individual loved quotations from the book, and has been something I've frequently enforced into various online projects. This also strengthens the concept...

Emerging on top of a search list would lead more business your way that is why search engine optimization or SEO tactics are employed.
Some companies employ the services of establishments or individuals who deal with search engine optimization.
This would involve the development of a more informative and user-friendly web site. It may also include pay-per-click or adwords services, such as the one offered by Google.
Another thing that can yield positive results at a lower cost, as compared to an adword campaign, is optimizing a web site for organic search.
